are we tearing down walls…or building them?

Let me ask you a question? How open are you to a person’s message after they’ve just made fun of you? Not about your differences of opinion, but of you as a person? Have you ever been bullied and belittled into changing your mind?  No one changes their belief system when they are attacked. I’ve been watching the discourse of this election cycle and like the majority of America, I’m frustrated. I’m frustrated by how I see candidates behaving.  I'm frustrated because it works. By |November 4th, 2014|Categories: Government|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , |

Today is Election Day and we can all celebrate a great victory….NO MORE CAMPAIGN ADS!!!! It really is silly season, isn’t it? But if you’re talking about the first to give the big presentation, or first in line for getting your wisdom teeth removed, there probably won't be as much jockeying for the front of the line. Dancing with uncertainty: Going first isn’t always an easy [...]

It may not seem obvious, but there is a war against creativity.  It’s subtle, fueled by misconceptions and strengthened by our fears.  If we are going be changemakers, we have to rise above this war and activate the "creative" within us. First, let me share two thoughts that contribute to the undermining of creativity.  Misconception #1: You either have it or you don’t A lot of people believe that creativity is an inherent trait.  We all know someone that seems to come up with ideas out of nowhere.  They’re constantly suggesting ideas outside the box and secretly it drives us [...]
